Agincourt 600 at Tudor House Museum

Uploaded 13 April 2014

The game’s afoot! Southampton’s streets were full of troops as King Henry V made preparations for the assault on France. However, three men had other plans, and the Southampton Plot was born. On Sunday, August 16 at 11:00 am join Dr Andy Russel (Archaeology Unit, Southampton City Council) on a special tour of the medieval city to mark the 600th anniversary of the Battle of Agincourt. You’ll need to book your place on the tour and you can find out how to do this plus loads more information on the Tudor House Museum website.

This archive clip is taken from British Pathé archive on YouTube. It was filmed in 1929, but there appears to be no record of who the actor playing Henry V is, or why this recording was made. Can anyone shed any light on this?
